Mary D. Shortt March 25, 2011 Mary D. Shortt, 99, a resident of 215 East Second Street passed away peacefully on March 25 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara (Earhart) Dorval and had attended local schools. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Borte of Oswego and six grandchildren, among whom are Derek and Mark. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter in 1970 and three sons, John (Jay) in 1997, Peter (Jerry) in 2001 and Edward (Terry) in 1977. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. from St.Paul's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oswego County Hospice or University Hospital Stroke Center.
