Hughes, Mary D. ALBANY Mary D. Hughes, 100, formerly of the Westview Apartments, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Resurrection Nursing Home. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Nunzio and Rocca Puntilla Giagni. She was prede-ceased by her husband, Robert C. Hughes Sr. in September of 1980. Mother of Nunzio Hughes (Marjorie) and the late Robert C. Hughes Jr. (Charlotte) and David A. Hughes; mother-in-law of Lorraine Hughes; grandmother of Laurie Haston (James), Stacey Hughes, Deborah Milavec, Linda Podlaski (Anthony), Robert C. Hughes III (Catherine), Karen Hughes-Adkins, Carrie Porcaro; sister of the late Danny, Vincent, Anthony "Murph", Benny Giagni, and Grace Capizzio; 11 great- grandchildren survive Mary. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Resurrection Nursing Home for their unwavering dedication to her care. Funeral services Friday, March 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
