Obituary of Mary Cox


Mary Lee Dunn Cox, 90, of Marietta, wife of the late Frank Cox, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Autumn Care in Saluda, NC.Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Ida McCombs Dunn. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and a member of Cox Chapel Baptist Church, the Mothers Sunday School Class and the Red Hat Society.Surviving are two daughters, Frankie Bailey and Kay Morton; a son Willie Cox; 2 sisters, Margaret Jones and Barbara Cox; 3 brothers, David Dunn, Beattie Dunn and Harold Dunn; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.She was predeceased by a son Raymond Cox; 3 sisters, Corrine Dunn, Agnes Tankersley and Irene Dawson and 2 brothers, Joe Dunn & F.M. Dunn.The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday evening at The Howze Mortuary.Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Cox Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The family will be at their respective homes.Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Road, Columbus, NC 28722.Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.thehowzemortuary.comThe Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest is in charge of arrangements.
