She passed away at the age of 52 on December 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Shelby Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her late Mother, Eva M. Lucas and Father, James Lewis Lucas, Sr. both of Wilton and sister, Priscilla Randolph of Argo. Survivors include her Loving Companion of many years, Henry Ellis McCartney. Sisters Wanda Gail Ethridge (Dale Allred) of Alabaster; Marie Early (Loyd) of Alabaster; Sylvia Hamilton (Roy) of Columbiana; Gabriella Jacobs (Britt Lowery) of Montevallo; Cynthia Cooper (David Hudson) of Montevallo and a brother James Lewis Lucas, Jr. (Flora Mae) of Wilton. She had numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be on December 30, 2014 at 5:00 for family and 6:00 to 8:00 for friends at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo. Funeral will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 in the chapel with burial at Union the Church at Chelsea Park. Mary Colleen Hughes was a member of Wilton Bible Baptist Church. She was an employee of MSPARK (Mail South) for more than 20 years. Pallbearers will be Lynn Brewer, Sam Stephenson, Perry Wilson, John Emfinger, Josh Lewis, Jonathan Sims and Jimmy Howell.
