->CASEY, Mary CatherineElmira: Age 72, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mary was born September 7, 1938 a daughter of the late James E. and Helen (Reilly) Casey. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Martha Casey; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and David Tobias; brother-in-law, Charles Zaccari; and great-nephew, Max Casey. Mary is survived by her siblings, with their spouses, John "Jack" and Dorothy Casey of Elmira; Cecile Zaccari of Lawrence, MA; Charles and Elaine Casey of Chattanooga, TN and Jupiter, FL; James and Barbara Casey of Naples; FL; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Mary attended Elmira Catholic High School and was a member of the first graduating class from Notre Dame High School. She went on to St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, working for the hospital after completing her studies. Mary continued her nursing career working for Dr. David Wladis. She later worked at Internal Medical Associates, from where she retired in 2009. Mary enjoyed watching sports with basketball, baseball, and figure skating being her favorites. She was a member of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association and a life long communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts., on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Mary with a donation to either, Notre Dame High School, 1400 Maple Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904, or St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, 555 St. Joseph's Blvd., Elmira, NY 14901. Members of the St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association will meet at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. to form an honor guard for Mary.
