TROY Mary Catherine Brown, 81, of Troy, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 21, 2005 at her residence. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William Nathaniel and Elizabeth Cecelia Donovan Brown. Mary was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and had attended Maria College in Albany. She was an office worker at Cluett Peabody in Troy before retiring in 1987. Mary was the historian of the former Court Margaret #99, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. She had been a parish worker at St. Peter's Church in Troy, and a volunteer at St. Vincent's Home and Our Lady of Hope. Mary is survived by many friends and acquaintances in and around the Capital District area. The funeral for Mary will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third Street, Troy and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
