Obituary of Mary Carter


Alcoma CitrusHAINES CITY -- Mrs. Mary Lou "May-Lou" Carter of Haines City died of heart disease June 17, 2004, at Heart of Florida Medical Center. She was 67.Born in Swainsboro, Ga., on May 9, 1937, she came to Haines City from New York one year ago. She was a citrus worker for Alcoma Citrus. She was a former member of the Morning Star Masons. She was a member of Parkview Christian Center.Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Stanley Carter; sons, Thomas U. Davidson, Haines City, Gerald O. Brown, San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Selinda Key, Haines City; sister, Pearl Ann Doykin, Swainsboro, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Holmes Funeral Home, 601 Claude Holmes Sr. Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Christian Center, 3520 Baker Dairy Road, Haines City. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
