PLANT CITY -- Ms. Mary Katherine Carpenter of Plant City died of cancer Saturday (July 29, 2006) in Tampa. She was 76.She was born in Tarpon Springs on Dec. 2, 1929. She was a Baptist.Ms. Carpenter is survived by her son, Peter Kent Carpenter, Port St. Lucie; daughters, Andrea Katherine Lowell, Tanya Rivera; brothers, Thomas Atkinson, Lakeland, James Atkinson, Suwanee, Kenneth Atkinson, Plant City, Glen A. Atkinson, Bushnell; sisters, Myrle Hudson, Lake City, Pauline Wright, Dade City, Laura Clark, Sarah Linton, both of Lakeland; four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Wells Memorial Funeral Chapel, Plant City. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
