Retired Housekeeping Supervisor AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Carolyn Wilcher Jones, 77, was taken home to her Lord at her residence, 3366 Milledgeville Rd., on October 20, 2005 A native of Glascock Co., she had made her home in Augusta the past 13 years. She was a retired housekeeping supervisor at Gibson Rest Home. She was a Christian and a member of Pine View Baptist Church and a member of Faith Sunday School Class. The family remembers her spending much time each day in praise and prayer. She was devoted to her family. She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn English; one granddaughter, Cassandra Griffith (Mitchell); great-granddaughter, Evangeline Griffith; one brother, Thomas S. Wilcher (Edna); one sister, Marjorie Wilcher; daughter of the heart, Vicki Ogden; brother-in- law Patrick H. Cain, all of the Augusta area; and one sister-in- law, Carrie S. Wilcher, Hardwick, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 13, 2005 at 11:45 a.m. at Pine View Baptist Church, Rev. Michael Davenport and Rev. Albert Osborn officiating. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the Pine View Baptist Church building fund, 154 Davis Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
