Obituary of Mary-C. Williams


JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. "Mary Ma" Williams will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 3 p.m. from the Zion Fair Baptist Church, Aiken, with the Rev. Bruce Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born June 21, 1932 to the late Hubert and Angeline J. Chavous. She retired from customer services at King's Mill, Augusta. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Williams; sister, Katherine Sweeney; and a brother, Hubert Chavous. Survivors include two sons, Richard E. Williams and Ronald F. Williams, both of Jackson, S.C.; one daughter-in-law, Christine Williams, New Ellenton, S.C.; four fraternal children, Donald E. Chavous, Virginia C. Bell, Angela Jakes, and Irene Bush, Aiken; five brothers, Cecil (Gloria) Chavous, Aiken, John H. (Thelma) Chavous, Jackson, S.C., Fred B. Chavous, Jackson, S.C., Harold Chavous, Beech Island, S.C., and C. Belton (Nora) Dicks, Queens, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Geneva Chavous, North Augusta; two grandchildren, Christopher Williams and Chanee L. Williams, New Ellenton, S.C.; one great- grandchild, Lyke C. Williams, New Ellenton, S.C.; one aunt, Elizabeth Spells, Philadelphia, Pa.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Sign the guestbook at AugustaChronicle.com
