LOWELL - Mary C. (Dawson) Owens, 83, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Saints Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of Gerald F. Owens, who died in December 2000. She was born in Lowell on July 1, 1919, a daughter of the late James and Annie F. (Russell) Dawson, and graduated from Immaculate Conception Grammar School and Keith Hall. Mrs. Owens was a lifelong resident of Lowell and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of that parish and the American Association of Retired Persons.Survivors include three children, Beverly Jump of Lowell, Judith Robinson of Seabrook, N.H., and Gerald and Kathleen (Shugrue) Owens Jr. of Lowell; six grandsons, John R. and Michelle Callahan, Daniel P. Callahan, David O. Robinson, Justin B. Robinson, Kevin M. Owens and Timothy P. Owens; three great-grandchildren, Michaela, John R. IV and Thomas Callahan; a sister, Mildred Burns of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.She was also the sister of the late Doris Sullivan and Rita Sayer.
