Mary C. (Renehan) Morrissey, passed away unexpectedly at her Weymouth home Aug. 2, 2011. She was 61 years old. Born and raised in Dorchester, she had lived in South Boston before moving to Weymouth 4 years ago. Mary was a graduate of St. Patricks High School & Northeastern University where she earned an Associates Degree in Criminology. She retired in 2007 after 30 years as an Executive Assistant with the Gillette Co. Mary was also the First Commodore at the Port Norfolk Yacht Club in Dorchester. Late member Randolph Elks Lodge and former secretary of New England Narcotics Enforcement Officers Assoc. Daughter of the late John P. and Catherine (Flaherty) Renehan. Beloved wife of 27 years to William T. Morrissey (Ret. Lt. Boston P.D.). Sister of Karen Evans, Susan OBrien, Tommy Renehan, Paula Dhooge, Joey Renehan and the late Jack Renehan, Mark Renehan and William Renehan. Sister-in-law of Charles Morrissey and Joan Dwyer and also the late Harold Morrissey. Funeral was from the South Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St. (Rte.18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the St. Albert the Great Church at 10 Oclock.
