Mary C. Cook Hammond, IN Mary C. Cook, age 96, of Hammond, passed away October 27, 2005. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Gradisher; two sons: James (Doreen) Cook and John Cook; five grandchildren: Stacy (Robert) Reed, Brian (Victoria) Cook, Lauren (Thomas) Wischnowski, James (Cindy) Cook and Susan Cook; six great-grandchildren: Lauren and Alexander Reed, David and Matthew Cook, Cameron and Ana Wichnowski; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, David I. Cook and son, David E. Cook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 31, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, with Fr. Charles Mosley, officiating. Burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. prayer service at Virgil Huber Funeral Home, 7051 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond. Mrs. Cook may also be viewed at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
