LAKELAND -- Ms. Mary Catherine Branton of Lakeland died of heart failure Wednesday (Sept. 11, 2002) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 49.Born in Lakeland, she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in 1970 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Freewill Baptist Church.Ms. Branton is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Branton, Lakeland; sisters, May Jennings, Hampton, Va., Mary E. Branton, Lakeland; brothers, Bennie Branton, Jack Branton, Darron Branton, all of Lakeland, Jerry Branton, Plant City.Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 this evening at Pilgrim Rest Freewill Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Rest Freewill Baptist Church. H.W. Oldham Funeral Home.
