Mary Boone Mitchell, 87, of Louisville, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Norton Suburban Hospital. She was a native of Athertonville, KY, and a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Mitchell, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Thorne; grandchildren, Eric Thorne, Laura Brown and Dane and Ashleigh Thorne; great-grandchildren, Sydney Thorne and Hannah and Olivia Brown; and sisters, Loraine Floyd and Doris Asbury. Her funeral Mass will be held at noon Monday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 760 Eastern Pkwy., with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Hwy. Memorials may be made to Mass of the Air or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
