A visitation celebrating the life of Mary Beth Williams, 52, will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jacksonville. Mrs. Williams died suddenly on the morning of February 14, 2015 while on vacation with her fiancé and best friend, David Hill. She is survived by her fiancé, David Hill, of Weaver; her daughter, Heather (Chance) Williams, of Rome, Ga.; two sons, David (Amanda) Williams and Jake Williams, all of Jacksonville; one granddaughter, Olive Williams; two soon-to-be grandbabies, Harrison Williams and Evy Williams; four sisters, Katie (Pat) Gurnett, of Omaha, Neb., Eileen (Brad) Bickett, of Aurora, Colo., Amy (Mike) Cox, of Jacksonville and Michelle (Jon) Klippert, of Montrose, Colo.; numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Beth was born in Gunnison, Colorado on October 14, 1962 to Michael and Gracie Hogan. She was the youngest of five girls and will be forever known as "the baby". She graduated from Gunnison High School in 1981 and attended the International School of Fashion Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California. After managing health clubs in Los Angeles for a number of years, she and her family moved to Jacksonville, Alabama. She became the owner of the Sports Nut Bar located in Anniston, for a number of years and was recently employed by Winn Dixie grocery store. Mary Beth loved to make people laugh and made everyone feel special in some way. She was a gracious and loving lady who will be remembered for her laughter, her joy, her hugs, her practical jokes and her kindness. Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Gracie Hogan. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Legion, Post 57, 1501 Pelham Road, S, Jacksonville, Alabama 36265 or to the League of Animal Welfare, 2726 Bynum Leatherwood Road, Anniston, AL 36201.
