Mary B. Mitchell, 85 Feb. 11, 1923 - Feb. 9, 2009 GORHAM -- Mary Mitchell, 85, a resident of Gorham, went home to be with her Lord, Feb. 9, 2009. Mary was born and raised in Maine and went on to live in Florida and California, returning to Maine in 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, F J (Sam) Mitchell. Surviving Mary are her children, Muriel Rogers of California, Joe Mitchell and his wife Alice of Florida, and Deborah Bear of Maine; her grandchildren, and three sisters. Mary created a warm and secure home, where family values and the love of God was a way of life. She is remembered for her strength, wonderful Maine cooking and a smile that warmed the heart of all who knew her. Arrangements by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
