ObituaryMrs. Mary B. Martin, 95, died Friday, September 7, 2007 in Orange Park, FL. Mary had been a resident of Jacksonville area for almost 5 years. Mary was born in New Albany, Indiana on September 6, 1912 to Rosa and Michael Baldauf. Mary worked for 30 years for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, KY, and retired in 1970. She and her husband of 45 years, Wallace M. Martin, deceased since 1980, had moved to the Fort Myers area where she became a successful licensed real estate agent with Newton Real Estate, and the Prudential Realty Company. The new found occupation suited her love for being with and helping people until her second retirement at age 81.A member of the Presbyterian Church, Mary had a loving and compassionate spirit, always giving and going the extra mile for family, friends, co-workers, and clients. Her kindness and generosity provided for many people throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret B. Welty; and five brothers: William, Otto, Irvin, Ernest and Walter Baldauf; two nieces; Jane Marie Wells, and Naomi Ruth Chumley (James); and nephew, Wallace E. Baldauf (Debbie).She also leaves to mourn her passing; nephews, Walter Baldauf Jr., David A. Baldauf, John D. Baldauf (Sandra), Raymond Lynn Baldauf (Robin), Edward Welty (Barbara), Jack Tuttle (Phyllis) and niece, Rosemary B. Straub (Charles), and many great nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, September 13th, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd. with the Rev. John W. Payne officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Lee Memorial Park, Lehigh Acres.
