<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->May 4, 1927 - Nov. 10, 2014 Mary Anne Nahm Nelson age 87. Mary was a native of Philadelphia, PA and a resident of Moss Point, MS and Mobile, AL for the past 44 years. She passed away peacefully, Monday, November 10, 2014.Mary was a quiet, sweet yet strong woman. She married a navy career man and together they traveled all over the US, from Key West to Honolulu, Hawaii. Loving to sew, she was an accomplished seamstress, making beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren. Later in life, Mary continued to put those skills to use to bless her family by making them quilts, afghans, and beautiful embroidered treasured pieces. She was a giver and gave from her heart and abilities to those she loved. Her talents didn't end with a needle and thread they carried over to the kitchen where she created her famous Philadelphia Cheesecakes, and chocolate candy. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William J. Nelson; parents George Augustus and Mary Francis Nahm; a sister, Elizabeth Nahm Bradley . Mary is survived by, her three children, Gail Knox-Maxwell (Robert) of Daphne, AL, Katherine Nelson , Denver, CO; Janet Rensmeyer of Dallas, TX; sister, Patricia Nahm Cope and brother, George Nahm; 8 grandchildren, Mark (Tarah) Knox, Daniel Knox, Kara Knox, Tristan, Moses and Matthew Mederos and Kyle and Brandt Rensmeyer; and 9 great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
