Mary Ann Pitts passed away April 23, 2008, in her home after a long illness. She was born June 9, 1935, in Greenwood, Ark., to Cecil Walter Cox and Helen Louise Jameson Cox, both deceased. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Pitts. Buddy and Mary were married for 53 years. Their son, Robert Douglas Pitts, died as an infant. Other survivors include five sisters, Betty Reano and husband, Joe, Glenda Wallace and husband, Jack and niece, Katie, Patsy Jones, Charlcie McEntyre and Doris DeGolier; two brothers, Jerry Cox and wife, Pam, Jack Harris and wife, Nancy; two sisters-in-law, Norma Pitts and Willo Cox; two nephews, John Pitts and wife, Val, and Jeff Pitts; two great-nephews, Robert Pitts and wife, Layne, and Bart Pitts; one great-great-nephew, Ethan Jefferson Pitts; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A brother, Bobby Cox, preceded her in death. Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2008, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Springfield Bible Church, 2145 East Grand, Springfield, Mo. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2008, at 1 p.m., in Murray Funeral Home, Humansville. Interment will be in Flemington Cemetery.
