EASTON Mary Ann Newman, lifelong resident of Easton, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, in Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was 62 years old. She was a loving daughter of the late George A. and Mary Louise (McMenamy) Newman; beloved sister of Christine Newman Simonson of Easton; devoted aunt of Amy Simonson Callahan of Easton and Michael Simonson of Easton. Mary Ann will be sadly missed by her many relatives and friends. Mary Ann was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, in North Easton, where she served as a eucharistic minister. She was the past president of the Resident Council at the Copley at Stoughton. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Mary Ann had a love for animals and was an avid Red Sox fan. Funeral from the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton, Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass, at 9:30 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, Main Street, North Easton. Calling hours Friday, from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to att-end. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Easton.
