Piedmont - Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Ann Mitchell, 76, will be Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Mount Pleasant CME Church with the Rev. Gregory Nixon officiating and Ervin Funeral Chapel, LLC (Piedmont) directing. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery. Public visitation will commence today from noon until 8:30 p.m. at Ervin Funeral Chapel, LLC (Piedmont). The remains will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Mitchell died Friday, February 3, 2012, at Jacksonville Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Diane (Calvin) Houston; four sons, Robert (Sandra) Mitchell, Clifton Mitchell, Gary Mitchell, and Homer (Tracy) Mitchell; one sister, Wanda Gamble; two brothers, Holland Palmore and James Palmore; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
