Obituary of Mary-Ann Miller


Mary Ann Miller passed away peacefully at her home in Ossining on February 5, She was born in the Bronx on January 31, 1945, graduated from Mount St. Ursula and received her BA from Mercy College. She earned Her Masters in Education at Hunter College. Mary Ann spent her 38-year career teaching first and second grades at Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School in Croton-on-Hudson. Each day she poured love into the lives of her students. She is survived by a brother John Miller of Maryland, sisters Jean Miller of Florida and Ann Marie O'Brien of Virginia and beloved nieces Kristin MacClary, Andrea Zimmermann, Suzanne Miller, Lauren O'Brien and Megan O'Brien. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton-on-Hudson at 10 am Tuesday, February 10. Visiting hours at the church 3-5 and 7-9 pm on Monday, February 9. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Mary Ann Miller Scholarship Fund for college students pursuing a careet in Education, c/o Croton-Harman School District, 10 Gerstein Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
