Obituary of Mary-Ann-Epps Peters


Retired-Civil Service Fort Gordon AUGUSTA, Ga.- Entered into rest Friday, May 28, 2004 at her residence, Ms. Mary Ann Epps Peters, life long resident of Augusta. Ms. Peters is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chandra P. and Jim Pihl; granddaughter, Manderlay Groomes of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, B. Jeannette and Charles L. Gardner of Grovetown, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law , Jimmy Epps, Sr. and Linda M. Epps of Augusta and a number of nieces and nephews. Ms. Peters was a native of Blythe, Ga. and a faithful and devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she was a member of the Margaret James Sunday School Class. She retired from the Fort Gordon Dentac Department after more than 20 years of service. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 2 p.m., from the Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel. Dr. Gordon Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honorary escort will be Deacons of Hillcrest B aptist Church. Active pallbearers will be George Reynolds, Ken Grisko, David Smith, Hadden Shepherd, David Lewis and Paul Kemmerlin. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Rd. Augusta 30904.
