MARY ANDERSON (nee RIPPEY) MUNSTER, IN Mary Anderson, age 55, of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014. She is survived by her loving daughters; Katie, Colleen, Bridget, Emily and Maggie, all of Munster; dearest mother, Marilyn Rippey of Munster; loving brother, Michael (Cherie) Rippey of Dyer; loving sister, Peg (Joel) Gonzales of Munster; loving partner, Jeff Mitchell of Munster; one nephew, Kevin Rippey; three nieces: Megan Rippey, Kathleen and Erin Gonzales. Preceded in death by her loving father, Basil Rippey. Mary was a graduate of Munster High School Class of 1977. Graduate of Indiana University Class of 1981, University of Chicago MBA and Valparaiso Law School. She worked as a CPA. Mary was also a College Professor. Mary's passion for learning and education was outweighed only by her joy in raising her beautiful daughters. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, generosity, humor, devotion and enormous courage in her battle with cancer. Donations may be made to the University of Chicago for Ovarian Cancer Research in her loving memory. Mass of Christian Burial will be on at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Thomas More Church with Fr. Michael Yadran celebrating Mass.
