MARY ALICE WILLIAMS FORMERLY OF HAMMOND, IN Mary Alice Williams, 82, of Rice Lake, WI, formerly of Hammond, IN, died February 20, 2008 at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, WI. Survived by daughter, Tracy (David) Colvin of Rice Lake, WI; sister, Jean (David) Cole of Beaver Dam, KY. Ms. Williams husband, Volney, preceded her in death along with a daughter Barbara (Williams) Southard and a sister and a brother. Funeral services will be held at Kuiper Funeral Home in Highland, IN Tuesday, February 26, 2008 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and services to follow with burial at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Ms. Williams was born May 7, 1925 to Airon and Lily (Carmen) Stewart in Beaver Dam, KY. She married Volney Williams on March 4, 1946 in KY. She moved to Rice Lake, WI in 2001 to be with family. She worked most of her life in retail at Shoppers World and O'Conner & Goldbergs until retirement in 1980. She enjoyed traveling, dining out, shopping and going to the casino.
