Mrs. Mary Alice Frazier Johnson, 69, of Midway departed this life Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Hospice Savannah.Mrs. Johnson was born in Ludowici to Lillie Mae and Harmie B. Frazier. For 30 years she lived in New York, but relocated to Midway in 1990.Mrs. Johnson was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great cook and a devout member of St. James Church of Christ in the Holmestown Community. She served as the church secretary until her health failed.She is survived by her husband, Leron Johnson of Midway; four sons, Alvin (Sherry) Johnson and Deron (Venita) Johnson, of Queens, N.Y., Nathan Johnson of Atlanta and Eric Johnson of Allentown, Pa.; three daughters, Rose Johnson, Cathy Johnson and Dena (Juan) Kelly, all of Queens; two brothers, Harold and Eddie Frazier of Jacksonville; two sisters; Mattie Jones and Carrie Williams of Queens; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and a host other relatives.Her viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the St. James Church of Christ Holiness Unto The Lord, 1140 Holmestown Road in Midway. There will be no viewing at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elder Horace Oliver will officiate.Dorchester Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
