LOWE, Mary Albright 90, of Crystal Beach, died Jan. 9th, 2010. Mary was born in Richmond, VA, lived in Atlanta GA with her family for 25 years, and moved to Crystal Beach in 1979. Mary studied Fashion Design/Illustration in Richmond, Atlanta School of Art and continued her studies in many different styles of painting techniques throughout the years. Mary conducted workshops in Atlanta, the Tampa area and internationally. She organized art tours to Mexico, Spain and Jamaica. In 1996 she retired from 17 years of teaching at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. Her works, mainly abstract in nature, have been collected in private collections, museums and corporations throughout the country. She was named President Emeritus of Studio 1212 in Clearwater and was Chairwoman of the Crystal Beach Art Group. Survivors include son Lindsay (Rosalyn) of Villages; grandson Matthew Collins (Allison) of Jamaica Plain MA; and great-grand-daughter Madeline Collins.
