VIENNEAU, Mary Agnes (nee Stewart) October 1, 1911 - June 13, 2009 Our most cherished faithfilled mother and wife of the late Wilfred Vienneau, passed away peacefully in her home on June 13, 2009 surrounded by her family at the age of ninety-seven. Mom was born in Miscou Island, N.B. and married in Bathurst, N.B. After raising her children in Bathurst, N.B. and Saint John, N.B., moved to Verdun, Quebec in 1965. Mary Agnes, known as Mamere to all is survived by 9 of her children: Raymond (Georgina) Saint John, N.B.; Wilfred Jr., Vancouver, B.C., Alden (Marylou), Saint John N.B.; Rosemarie (Alexis Lanteigne), Verdun, Que.; Evelyn (Arthur Gilchrist), Verdun, Que.; Geraldine (predeceased by Terry McSorley), Saint John, N.B.; Maureen Beswick (Lecouteur), Victoria, B.C.; Linda Vienneau (Bahen), Calgary, AB; Barbara (David Young) (Lajoie) Ajax, ON; 46 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by sons: John, Robert and Bernard, daughter Joanette and great-grandson Christian. Mary Agnes is the daughter of the late Alexander Stewart and Angele Hebert, the last surviving sibling of Pierre, Martin, Melvin, Alphonse, Pierrette and Leonie. Mamere is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation on Tuesday, June 16 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 17 as of 9 a.m. at:The funeral will be held at the Saint Willibrord Church, 351 Willibrord Avenue in Verdun on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. We so gratefully want to thank Dr. Marchant and his Palliative Care Team of Verdun General Hospital and the generosity of CLSC, for without their support we would not have been able to successfully care for our mother. Their 24/7 availability and compassion allowed us to honour our mother's desire to be cared for by her family at home. Our mother had great devotion to Saint Joseph.
