Food ServiceLAKELAND -- Mrs. Mary Adams of Lakeland died of lung failure Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2006) at Oakbridge Health Care Center. She was 93.Born in Marianna on April 8, 1912, she came to Lakeland from Tampa in 1992. She worked in food service for public schools, assisting the manager in the lunch room for Manhattan Elementary. She was a Girl Scout leader. She was a member of Grove Park Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school.Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd V. Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Boyd, Lakeland; son, Floyd R. Adams, Phoenix; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grove Park Christian Church, 2025 Bartow Road.Memorials may be made to Grove Park Christian Church, 2025 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801.
