Mary A. Williams, 86, a longtime resident of Yarmouthport, died peacefully on September 18, 2011. She was the wife for 58 years of the late James V. Williams. Mary lived most of her life in Holbrook, where she was active in town politics and volunteer activities. She served on the Holbrook School Committee for 9 years and spent 3 years on the Finance Committee. In retirement she was a strong supporter of the Yarmouthport Library where she served as President of the Friends Organization for many years. She leaves a daughter, Eileen and son-in-law Jack Beaucaire of Yarmouthport and Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yarmouthport Library, 297 Main Street, Yarmouthport, MA 02675. Visiting hours will be at Morris, OConnor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth on Tuesday, September 27 from 4 - 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Church in South Yarmouth.
