NISKAYUNA Mary A. Devine, 88, of Troy Road, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Ellis Hospital. Miss Devine was born in Troy and lived in Schenectady most of her life. She worked for the New York State Department of Tax and Finance for several years, retiring in 1979. Miss Devine was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady. She was predeceased by four siblings, Richard J. Devine, Marjory F. Bendall, Catherine F. Devine and John J. Devine. She is survived by one sister, Beatrice Claire Devine of Niskayuna and one brother, William Devine of Santa Barbara, Calif.; ten nieces and nephews, Richard C. Bendall of Jupiter, Fla., Ronald F. Bendall, Maryann P. Creighton and James W. Bendall, all of Niskayuna, John J. Devine of Round Lake, Richard E. Devine of Scotia, Sean D. Devine, Timothy Devine, Sheila Devine and Brian Devine, all of Calif.; and by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted Thursday morning at 9:45 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union Street, Schenectady and at 10:30 at St. John the Evangelist Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
