Mary A. Cooper, 87, Cortez, died July 23, 2004. She was born Oct. 29, 1916, in Kearney, N.J., and came to Cortez in 1990 from Atlantic Highlands, N.J. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, where she was a rosary maker. Survivors include a daughter, Mary A. Hughes of Cortez; a son, Michael A. of Bradenton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown & Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church Chapel. Burial will be in the church memorial garden.
