Mary A. (Riley) Carter passed away at Renaissance Gardens at Linden Ponds in Hingham Oct. 26,2010. She was 95 years old. Mary was born in Boston and raised in Quincy. She had lived in Rockland for 20 years before moving to Weymouth in 1985. Mary retired from the Business office of the former Grossmans store in Braintree. Mary was a very prayerful person and late communicant of St. Albert the Great Church. Beloved wife of the late George H. Carter. Mother of George G. Carter married to Holly of Abington. Sister of the late Cecelia Alexander, Leo Riley, Margaret Riley, Katherine Riley, Frank Riley, Theresa Riley, John Riley, Bill Riley and Alice Reynolds. Grandmother of Christina Schena, Stefanie Eaton, Michelle Carter and Erika Carter. Great-grandmother of Julia Schena, Alexander Eaton and Lance Guy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral was from the East Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, corner of Charles & Middle Sts., Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the St. Albert the Great Church at 11:00 oclock. Interment Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in Marys memory may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society c/o St. Albert the Great Church, 1140 Washington St., Weymouth, MA. 02189.
