Obituary of Marvin-Thomas Lee


Marvin Thomas Lee, age 76, of Millville departed this life on Friday, May 25, 2012 at South Jersey Healthcare-Bridgeton after a courageous battle. Born in Lewisburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Willie and Lillian Lee. Partner as he was affectionately known by his coworkers was a Senior Correction Officer for the Cumberland County Department of Corrections with 38 years of service. He was also a member of PBA Local #231. Marvin was an avid San Antonio Spurs fan. He enjoyed Atlantic City, playing cards and watching Western movies. Marvin was predeceased by his daughter Anita E. Lee who died on May 25, 2010. Marvin leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Thomas Marvin Lee of Gouldtown, Vandell D. Lee (Carolyn) of Parvin and Frederick Lee; daughter, Patricia Myers (James) of Vineland; brother, Larry Kelly; sister, Joan Gooch both of Millville; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives, friends and CCDOC family. Viewing will be 11am-5pm Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Bethel AME Church, 115 S. 5th St., Millville and 9-11am, Friday, June 1, 2012. Service will be 11am. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Millville. Friends and family may send condolences to the family through the funeral homes website www.edwardsandsonfuneralhome.com. Services are entrusted to EDWARDS & SON FUNERAL HOMES, Inc. Bridgeton & Salem, NJ.
