Smith, Marvin D. ALBANY Marvin D. Smith, 56, died suddenly, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at home. He was born and educated in Philadelphia, Pa. and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Smith had lived in Albany for the last 18 years. At the time of his death, he was a maintenance manager with Hannaford Bros. in Albany. Mr. Smith loved to cook and enjoyed gardening and singing. Survivors include his longtime companion, Stacie Davis; four sons, Marvin and Lamar Smith and Darell and Ryan Davis; 12 siblings; a granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
