Mr. Marvin Buford Smith, age 79, of Mobile, Ala., passed away March 8, 2013 in Mobile. He was born June 3, 1933 in Bonifay, to the late Shelby and Estelle Hammonds Smith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his son, Gary Smith; a granddaughter, Aranda Smith; two brothers, William Robert Smith and Ralph Smith, and a sister, Sarah Frances Williams.Mr. Smith is survived by three children, Randy Smith and wife Angie of Loxley, Ala., Tanya Talotta of Mobile, Ala., and Shelli Music and husband Jimmy of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren, Melesha, Breanna, Callie, Francesca, and Shey, and two great grandchildren, Mason, Madison.Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. John Howell and the Rev. Eric Leitner officiating. Interment followed in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday at Peel Funeral Home.
