Athens - Martha Veal Jones Stephens, age 96, of Athens, formerly of Lithonia, died December 28, 2008. She is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Eleanor & Dan Howington of Watkinsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Betty Jones, Clyde & Eloise Jones, all of Lithonia; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m., Tuesday, December 30 in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Chapel Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in her memory to Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, 250 North Avenue, Athens GA 30601. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Tuesday at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia (770-482-4411).
