Knoxville, Tenn. - Martha Hunter Gilbert Stephens, 99, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cashiers United Methodist Church, Cashiers, N.C. Burial will be in Lake Toxaway Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Martha Gilliam, Houston, Texas, and Carol Bernal, Atlanta; a son, Tom Stephens, Athens; a sister, Lula McLemore, Knoxville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a niece.
