Martha S.C. Anderson, 94, of New Britain, died Jan. 13, 2008, at Jerome Home, New Britain. She was born in Sweden, lived in New Britain most of her life, and was a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1930. She served as church secretary of First Lutheran Church, New Britain, for more than 25 years and later as church secretary of the former Trinity United Methodist Church until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the New Britain chapter of AARP, the church choir and Lutheran Church Women. She is survived by her two nephews, Robert W. Anderson, of Plainville, and Allan Anderson and his wife, Brenda, of Cardiff by the Sea, Calif.; a grand-niece and grand-nephew, Tenley and Craig; and a great-grandniece, Caroline. The funeral was held Jan. 17 at First Lutheran Church, New Britain. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain, was in charge of arrangements.
