Obituary of Martha-Ruth-Haymans Smith


-> Martha Ruth Haymans Smith, 75, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at Savannah Hospice House. She was a native of Liberty County and lived in Savannah most of her life. She retired from Union Camp after 34 years of employment. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Savannah and was in the Deanie Ricks Sunday School group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn V. Smith. Survivors: daughter, Jacqueline D. Zimish of Pooler; daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Joe Seaton of Greenacres, WA; grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Zimish of Pooler, Allen Williams of Savannah, Glenda Hughes of Palmdale, CA, Penny Boone of Benton, NC, and Brian Boone of Post Falls, ID; brother, Robert W. Haymans of Richmond Hill; Sister, Joyce E. Reed of Austin, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2003 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Bosson officiating. Mrs. Smith will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial: Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery.
