SMITH, Martha Mavis Passed away after a lengthy illness on August 13, 2009 at the age of sixty-three. Daughter of the late Arnold A. Smith and Beatrice A. Smith, Martha will be dearly missed by her devoted husband Donald Denver DeGruchy, her brother Allan M. Smith, her nephew David Marcon-Smith, and her cousins, aunt and uncle. Donald, Allan and David will receive condolences at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Blvd. Des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, 514-685-3344, on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a service in the Rideau chapel at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 22 at the Pine Hill Cemetery, in Magog, Quebec. The family wishes to thank Martha's many devoted friends as well as the nurses and staff at the Montreal General Hospital's Neurological Unit, who ensured she was comfortable during her final days.
