She was born on May 13, 1915 in Nashville. She was the daughter of the late Lester N. and Lucy Killough Jackson. She graduated from Grinnell High School in Grinnell, Iowa in 1933, and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1937 where she was honored as "Lady of the Bracelet". She was president of her college sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. She was a fine, southern Christian lady and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville. Much of her professional career was as an administrative assistant with American Airlines. Louise loved the outdoors, and was a hiker and avid birdwatcher and traveled extensively, enjoying both. She was a member of Tennesse Ornithological Society, The Tennessee Native Plant Society, The Nature Conservancy and Cheekwood. Louise was a long-time resident of Richland Place, where she respected and enjoyed many friends among its residents and staff. Louise is survived by cousins, Marty Parish Ligon and husband Ronald of Franklin, and John L. Parish and wife Charlotte of Tullahoma, TN. It was Louise's wish that her body go to Vanderbilt University's School of Medicine. A special memorial service for Louise will be held at a later date, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Road, Nashville, TN 37220.
