Wedowee - Memorial services for Martha Jolene Hudson-Henderson, 48, a native of Anniston, will be Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels of Anniston, with the Rev. Hugh B. Jones Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall prior to the service at 1 p.m. Martha died at her home in Wedowee on Sunday, September 23, 2012. She was a lifelong diabetic and suffered a heart attack. Martha graduated from Anniston High School in 1981 where she was a member of the color guard for the Anniston High Bulldog Band. She attended Jacksonville State University, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She graduated from Gadsden State Community College in 1992. She was a Medical Laboratory Technician, working with Jacksonville Hospital and Wedowee Hospital for over 20 years. Martha was a member of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Anniston. Martha is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Elaine Henderson, of Wedowee; her father, Doug Hudson, of Jacksonville; one sister, Mary Hudson Angle and her husband, Marcus Angle Jr., of Plano, Texas; one brother, Charles Donald Hudson and his wife, Hon. Marilyn May Hudson, of Jacksonville; her niece, Darby Brooke Angle, of Plano, Texas; two nephews, Dr. Nathanael Harrison Hudson, of Rockville, Md. and Hon. Christopher M. McIntyre, of Jacksonville; her uncle and aunt, Edward and Joyce Hudson, of Fairhope; five aunts, Reba Fant Kendrick and Rita Wells, both of Anniston, Jean Wells and Virginia Wells, both of Weaver and Mildred Hudson, of Oxford; and many cousins. Martha is preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary Carolyn Wells Hudson; grandparents, Reverend John F. Wells and Gussie Vaughn Wells, who were natives of Chosea Springs, and Milton E. Hudson and Josephine Byrd Hudson, who were from Clay County. "I am a passionate woman! Live each day like it's your last, you never know what will come your way."
