SPARTANBURG, SC-- Martha Hughey Henderson, age 80, wife of the late Thomas W. Henderson, Sr. of 137 Granger Road, went to be with the Lord on Friday morning, August 11, 2006 at home.Born in Lockhart on July 7, 1926 to the late Samuel and Marie Kirby Hughey, Mrs. Henderson was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from Spartanburg Sportswear. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church.Mrs. Henderson is survived by three sons, Tony L. Henderson, Thomas W. Henderson, Jr., and Danny C. Henderson all of Spartanburg; four sisters, Lillian McDowell of Dallas, TX, and Barbara West, Sara Bryant, and Mary Jo Revis of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy H. George; a sister, Ann Hernandez; and seven brothers, Hiriam, Jack, Cecil, David, J. H., Carey, and Robert Hughey.The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Lanford-Dunbar Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Eddie Burris presiding.
