Martha G. Fleming Hobart/Gary Martha G. Fleming, age 91, of Hobart, formerly of Gary, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2005. Martha was a graduate of Emerson High School in Gary, Class of 1932. She was a former employee of Grantham Motors and H. Gordon and Sons Department Store in Gary. A member and past officer of Daughters of Scotia, Lady McNeil Lodge #81 and Friendly Folk, a former member of Gary EUB Centennial Church in Gary. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry W. Fleming in 1980; her parents: Thomas and Jeanie Powell; and granddaughter, Diedra Booth. Survivors: two daughters: Jean (Louis) Rodino of Elkhart, IN and Martha (Darrell) Baker of Hobart, IN; sister, Alice Crevar of Ft. Meyers, FL; four grandchildren: Thomas and Matthew Rodino and Joelle and Michael Grasham; three great-grandchildren: Brittany Grasham, Bridget and Anne Rodino; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. Services will terminate at the funeral home with a private interment at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Rev. Gerald T. Walworth officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at funeral home.
