Anderson, Martha AldyneSept. 21, 1922 - Mar. 30, 2014Martha Aldyne Hagener Anderson was born September 21, 1922 in Beardstown IL. to John William Hagener and Emma Elizabeth Buck Hagener. Her ancestors were among the earliest settlers of Central Illinois in the early 19th century. The town of Hagener, IL is named for them.Aldyne was educated in Beardstown schools. She married Clarence G. (Jack) Anderson of Beardstown on June 2, 1942. The Anderson family moved to Sarasota in 1968.Aldyne died on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.She is survived by her children: Michael Anderson of LaGrange GA; and John Anderson; Francis Anderson, Heidi Connor, and Cass (Karen) Anderson, all of Sarasota. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Aldyne will be remembered most of all for her caring nature, from which, many relatives and friends benefited.Funeral services will be private. The family will welcome friends for a celebration of her life in the Parish Hall of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer at on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her memory to The Marie Selby Botanical Garden or the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation.
