Marlene-Helen Williams, born in 1932, daughter of Isadore and Julia-Braun, died on March 3, 2011 at 79 years old.
Marlene Helen Williams LAWRENCEVILLE - Marlene Helen Williams, 79, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, after an extended illness. Born in New Brunswick, she was a former resident of Trenton most of her life. Marlene worked for several years as an administrative assistant at Duke University in North Carolina and later for many years at New Jersey National Bank and its successors. After her retirement she loved traveling throughout Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. She was a caring, loving person, a generous sister, as well as an avid reader. Daughter of the late Isadore and Julia Braun Sass, sister and sister-in-law of the late Rita and Isidor Silverstein, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Paula Sass Donnelly and Honorable Tom Donnelly of Santa Fe, NM; a nephew, Claude Paul Gottlieb; several cousins, including Selma Elkins, Rosalyn Kawalick and Thyra Lewis. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Lukose S. Vadakara, the staff at St. Francis Medical Center, and to Marlene Pollock and Nancy Hilton of the Sisters of Hyacynthia Program for their excellent care; as well as to the kindness and compassion of Marlene's many friends during her last illness. Funeral services are Friday at 12 noon at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing Township. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The College of New Jersey (School of Education).
