Mark V. Lee, captain of the Jersey City Fire Department Engine 10 ("The Perfect 10"), 54, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, N.J. Visitation will be today, Monday, May 12, 2014, and Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City, N.J. Everyone will meet on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at St. Paul the Apostle Church for a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass. Burial is in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, Mark moved to Toms River several years ago. A firefighter and captain for almost 30 years, he was a selfless individual who dedicated his life to helping others. He received numerous awards as a firefighter and volunteer. Mark volunteered for a wide variety of organizations, including the Special Olympics Torch Run and Fireman's Picnic. He was a board member of the FDJC Distress Fund. For the past 27 years, Mark led the FDJC Christmas Drive. He was Irish Firefighter of the Year in 2011 and a 9/11 first responder (Paul Nimbley, I finally found you!) Mark was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Kelly) Lee; dear father of Jennifer Bimbo and her husband, Richie, Christina, and Mark; brother of Joseph Lee and his wife, Lynn, Patricia Dunford and her husband, John, and Pamela Cahill and her husband, Mark; grandfather of Sebastian "Pop pop's Kooky Bird;" uncle of Caitlyn, Michael, John, Melissa, Cassie, Patricia, J.J., Brian and Jameice; brother-in-law of James Kelly and his wife, Linda, and Brian Kelly and his wife, Venus.
