Mark Stephen Morris, 44, of 150 Howell Circle, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was the son of Howard Franklin Morris of Greenville, and formerly of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Mary Moody Morris of Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Raleigh, N.C. and Charlotte, N.C. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University and was employed with FedEx. Mark was a fun-loving man who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many hobbies. He was an avid runner who ran several marathons, including six Marine Corps Marathons. He loved vegetable gardening, reading, especially books on Spirituality, travel, riding motorcycles, and was also a professional black-jack dealer. He was passionate about music, playing the harmonica, and banjo. Bartending for many years lead to writing a book on the subject. Mark was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Stan Morris and his wife, Diane of Greenville, S.C., and Danny Morris and girlfriend, Amanda Arnold of Merritt Island, Fla.; a sister, Kathie Logan and her husband, Billy of Blairsville, Ga.; and nieces and nephews, Lindsay and Michael Morris, Chris Logan, Eric and Julie Bentz. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, October 1, 2006, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
